Joel is fabulous!!! We hired him at the last minute to DJ our wedding at the Ritz-Carlton, Tahoe. He did an amazing job. We weren't sure whether or not we had a party crowd, but Joel had everybody up and dancing. He followed what few directions we gave him perfectly, and selected music to fit the rest of the evening, intuitively. Everybody loved him! We would hire him again in a second!

Joel, again I just wanted to thank you so much for doing such a great job orchestrating our daughters wedding. You are so easy going, I hope to call on you again for another party. I hope you had a good time... All in all I think it all got put together pretty well for my first wedding (I am the brides mom). We waited until the week before our wedding to book a DJ, so we were very excited to have found someone opened. We met with Joel for the booking, He went over most of the details of what they offer and what not, he was very easy to work with and had great ideas for us. Then we met with his assistant, who would be our DJ, to go over our song selection. The day of went wonderfully,We had a very odd spread out set up to our wedding but he really made it work! The song selection was perfect, he really listened to us and worked the crowed! We had many complements on the music!We are very happy with the way things turned out!

Thank you so much for all your hard work at our wedding. You did such an amazing job and I know everyone loved the music and had a wonderful night. Stay Away!!! Reno Mobile DJ's used to be Boise Mobile DJ's. Joel is a very unresponsible individual. A couple of days before our wedding, Joel was arrested in Meridian for felony assault / battery. See story. http://www.kivitv.com/Global/story.asp?s=8075583 He sent a backup who could not operate the equipment, as a result, our first dance was cut short. We had several other problems throughout the night, including tracking down thd DJ out of the food line for toasts. After this, Ashley agreed to a partial refund, which we still have not seen. Joel provides a great first impression, as these other threads describe. That is why we hired him. We thought we would give the young guy an opportunity. All of his promises disappeared once the child in him came out. Don't deal with what he had to go through!

We were referred to Reno Mobile DJ by Northstar at Truckee. Our god daughter was getting married there and the event planner gave us a list of DJ's. I interviewed 8 of the DJ's and am so happy that I chose Joel at Reno Mobile DJ. Joel had another wedding so we had his partner, Josh. Josh did an excellent job and the choice of music was great. Everyone danced and had a great time! Joel contacted me the day after to make sure we were happy. This type of follow up is unusual and was very much appreciated. I would not hesitate to hire Reno Mobile DJ again!

RENO MOBILE DJ'S DOES NOT OFFER WHAT THEY CLAIM TO: Joel is very good at making the wedding seem as though its going to be flawless....he has lots of ideas and offers lots of confidence in what he does. However; once you are at your wedding - everything falls apart. Our DJ (who was not Joel) did not play our money dance, nor did he follow the Timeline, he was HORRIBLE on the mic, he was in no way a "EMCEE" of our event as Joel claims on his web site. Also, on Reno Mobile DJ's Web site - try and read the "Customer Reviews"...funny how the link doesnt work! Stay away....we are going to court today - 9/8 to sue him for Breach of Contract. Google his name - what you find will amaze you! Maybe ask him if he has a business license...I checked in the City of Reno and Sparks and he doesnt under RENO MOBILE DJ'S.

I had a hard time choosing a dj for my wedding after our initial dj double booked us. Joel was excellent. He always answered his phone and he did an amazing job at the wedding. I didn't hire a wedding planner but he worked as one. He kept everything moving and actually talked to the venue about their failures to make sure I didn't have to worry about anything. Everyone had a great time. He played great music and was wonderful. SO glad I chose him.

After our DJ cancelled unexpectedly, I ended up taking a friend's advice and calling Joel at Reno Mobile DJs. I was a bit uneasy because it was such short notice, but I took a chance and am glad I did! Joel was very professional and really understood the role of a wedding DJ. He appreciated the subtlety that comes with knowing how overlooked, yet important great music can be at a wedding. I can honestly say that there is little to nothing that could have been done differently to improve the experience for us, as it was outstanding. Thanks so much!

I have worked with Joel for over 4 years now. I got my business in Montana started because of his work ethic. We still keep in touch on different ideas and I can guarantee when you hire Joel you're hiring the most reliable DJ in your area. Joel was amazing. We had no idea what to do for our wedding reception and he guided us all the way. He was fun and knew just the right times to play certain songs. I HIGHLY recommend him to anyone!

Joel Schwartzlander, the owner of Reno Mobile DJs and the DJ who did our wedding, was the perfect balance between master of ceremonies and DJ. He was helpful without being too much of a presence. In planning the music for our cermony and the special events during the reception, we came to find just how knowledgeable Joel is in all music genres, and matched music to our personalities amazingly! We recieved more complements from guests about his work than about any other vendor. Even our photographer complimented our choice. Additionally, his prices were great, he was an extremely responsive vendor who answered emails and phone calls almost immediately, and having the option to pay him on his website made our lives extremely easy.
