The Deerfield Lodge at Heavenly

Not only did she provide lodging for my guests but she pretty much gave me all my vendors for my wedding! The breakfast in the morning was absolutely amazing, and she was wonderful!

We didn't use them for our wedding (but wish we would have because their venue is gorgeous) but we stayed at the lodge the weekend of our wedding. I booked the room months in advance because I fell in love with it over the internet! They were instrumental in the planning or our wedding. I happened to shoot them a line regarding some vendors because I wasn't from the area and they promptly responded! Every vendor they recommended, I booked and am happy with everyone I got through them! It was like getting a wedding planner with the room! They were so helpful the weekend of our wedding and left us strawberries and champagne the night of our wedding, it was so sweet. I will stay there every time we go to Tahoe from now on they were so helpful and friendly...and the room was incredible! I spent several nights in the lobby just chatting! LOVE THEM!!

WHAT A BEAUTIFUL PLACE TO STAY AND THEY TOOK SUCH PERSONALIZED CARE OF US. I WAS GETTING SICK AND SHE FOUND ME COLD MEDICINE, ABOVE AND BEYOND THE CALL OF DUTY. WONDERFUL BREAKFAST, NOT THE TYPICAL CONTINENTAL TYPE, UNIQUE, DELICIOUS FRUITS AND DELIGHTS!!

This lady rocks!!! First, it is a nice quaint boutique hotel in south lake on the way to heavenly. Very nice gardens and nice lounge chairs outside with a great gas firepit and propane heaters for chilly tahoe nights. The room decor was done very well with terrific furniture and accesories. The best part was the personalized service, the lady who owns it helps with every detail including helping with vendors and coordinate guests and anything we could possibly want. The breakfasts are set up in a very aesthetically pleasing manner and she was so willing to accomodate having family join us etc. They went the extra mile for us on the actual wedding night and the room was decorated very tastfully with a chilled bottle of champagne waiting, who wouldn't love these guys?!? She was very sweet and even when my wife was catching a cold she found some cold medicine for the day and night and made sure we had plenty of water etc, very sweet. We loved the place and appreciated the personalized service even more, what a terrific find!!!

The Deerfield Lodge is an oasis, even in South Lake Tahoe. The perfect place to hold a wedding if you don't want a wedding like everyone else. The Deerfield provides a unique arrangement- you reserve all the rooms at the Deerfield for two nights (and pay for them) and then the site is yours to arrrange a wedding however you want. Your guests then pay for their own rooms when they stay at the lodge, and the reception site becomes free, or at a small fee if you decide to supplement the cost of the rooms. We loved having our wedding there! This was the only outdoor site we found in Tahoe that allowed us to bring in our own caterer, buy our own wine, rent out own chairs, pick our dj, florist, photographer, and do a wedding at an earlier time. We could do anything we wanted (except play music after 9pm- a city ordinance). Robin and Heather were so helpful and kind. They made planning the wedding easy, and they made the wedding weekend very enjoyable. Our guests loved the luxury accomodations, and being able to stay on the site of the reception and Sunday brunch made transportation a lot easier- it actually extended the wedding from one day to an entire weekend, and people felt like they were on vacation. Plus, the site is beautiful- wonderful garden, and several romantic spots for pictures.

It was just too cute! I'm so glad we picked this venue, it all turned out great.
