Thran's Flowers

I made several changes to my order and they worked with me on everything. Everything was exactly how I described that I wanted it, and the colors were perfect.

Love thrans. Katie at thrans knows just how to make a wedding a beautiful and stylish event at any budget. She takes your ideas and gives them a modern touch. I knew i could trust anything she came up with because she does amazing work every time.

Thran's was amazing! They helped us pic the perfect design of flowers and decor for our wedding and they were flexible in me incorporating some of my own pieces into the reception decor. It all looked amazing on the day and I was so happy we chose them.

My wedding was destination and they did a great job working with me via email to figure out the details. I wanted special details with copper and they did exactly what I envisioned.

The flowers barely made it to the ceremony on time...the bouquets arrived and were immediately handed to my bridesmaids as they were rounding the corner to walk down the isle. The ribbon wrap on the flower stems was soaking wet and falling off every bouquet. Arrangements (the flowers themselves) were beautiful and centerpieces were stunning...exactly the design I requested. Customer service was DEFINITELY lacking. I guess they know that they can be rude to customers because they are the only decent florist in Tahoe. Basically, if you hire Thran's, expect absolutely beautiful flowers and horrible customer service...and make sure you tell them that your ceremony starts 30 minutes before it actually does.

They were wonderful! And beat the other quote we received by more than 50%. They had no problem with how simple I wanted things, and the pricing was great. Two thumbs up!

Katie and Aimee helped us tremendously when it came to choosing our floral arrangements for our wedding. We came in with an idea and they brought it to life. We were very pleased with their services and their sincere desire to achieve our desire. Although they were a bit more expensive than other florists that we had spoken to, I felt more comfortable with Thran's based on meeting for a consultation and through email communication since Tahoe was our destination wedding. They really made it easy and I had no doubt that our wedding day would be perfect.

They did a great job. Flowers were on time, and exactly what i wanted. They even accommodated my request and let me drop off bottles that I wanted the flowers in.

Thran's flowers did an amazing job with my wedding flowers. When I first saw my Bouquet and all of the other flowers, it took my breath away.

Thran's did a wonderful job on my wedding! Katie and Aimee were an absolute delight to work with. They understood my vision completely from the beginning. The flowers, centerpieces, linens and decor were beautiful and elegant. One of the flowers though was a different color than expected (yet still beautiful) because the quality of the original color flower was subpar. It didn't bother me at all since the room looked amazing and I appreciated their professional explanation and judgment. I highly recommend them. Thank you, Katie, Aimee and the Thran's design team!

Overall, my experience with Thrans was good, but they could have been more professional. When we walked in for our scheduled meeting time there was one person there, on the phone (not with a customer, you could tell it was a personal call). When she finally got off, she walked out of the room. Someone else finally came out and greeted us. We were sat down at a large table and told to look at books for ideas (alone) while they finished up with something else in the back. Most of the things I liked ended up not being in season for when we wanted, so it probably would have wasted less time had someone been there to look over the books with us. Once I showed her a picture on my computer of what I wanted, she instantly had a million ideas and made me a mock bouquet. It was great - just I what I imagined!! On the wedidng day our flowers turned out great. I just wish that they were ready for us at our scheduled meeting time as we came in from out of town and didn't have much time to sit around. If you choose this vendor, I would come in with pictures in hand of what you want and it will go a lot faster.

Okay...so this is not going to be the best review. Where do i begin...my husband and i chose Thrans to do the flowers for our wedding. In Tahoe, there arent too many flower places to go with and Thrans really impressed me with their website and brochure. We had a great appointment with them, about an hour with a lady named Maggie, about 7 months before the wedding. At that time, i had only met with Thrans with my husband, and i really wanted a second opinon about the flowers i had chose, etc from my mom and sister. I made another appointment to meet with Thrans to go over my flowers, decorations, about two months before our wedding. They were really booked up so i got an appointment with them about 1 month before my wedding. My appointment was on a Saturday. My family and i are from the Bay Area so it takes about 3 hours to drive to Tahoe. We got to our appointment that day and i noticed that there was another family sitting at the table going over their wedding day flowers. The shop was a complete mess with flower bouquets, center pieces, all over the place. I met with a woman named Aniker, not sure how to spell. She had my mom, sister and i stand at the register to go over my wedding day flowers. I thought that was kind of weird, but i went with it. I told Aniker that i wanted to make some changes to the flowers that i had chose. She started writing down my new flower choices, etc. We were maybe there for 15-20 minutes, when a lady came rushing out of the back room, rudely clapped her hands at us and asked Aniker, "how much longer are you going to be!?"..."you really need to hurry it up we have a lot to do!". WTF!!!! I was pissed. Aniker told her we were almost finished. Almost finished?! We hadnt even gotten half way through with the flowers! I was so embarrased in front of my mom and sister. I didnt say anything at the time, cause i didnt want to start any drama, especially with the other bride in the store picking out her flowers. We, unfortunately had to leave 10 minutes later, Aniker apologized and said she would call me to go over the rest of the details. I left feeling really upset, and unsure that i made the right decision to go with them. It pretty much ruined my whole rest of the weekend. I called to complain on Monday. I found out that the lady who was all huffy and puffy with us was the Manager and even worse the owners daughter, Katie! I asked for Katie to call me back because i was very upset about the way she treated me and my family. Guess what?...she never did. Oh, well. I sucked it up and hoped all would be well on the wedding day. Two days before the wedding i went by Thrans, met with Aniker again and she went over all of my flowers with me. They looked great. On the day of the wedding, a lady from Thrans brought over my flowers. She quickly dropped them off with my mom at the door and left in a hurry. My mom brought them in to me and the first thing i saw was that the bridesmaids bouquets were wrong! The bridesmaids bouquets were supposed to be blue hydrangea with green leaves. How easy is that? My maid of honors was supposed to be blue hydrangea with green orchids. Well they decided to make all of the bouquets blue hydrangea with green orchids. They were beautiful, dont get me wrong, but they werent what i asked for. That didnt piss me off, what pissed me off was all of the mens boutineers were dead!!!! I had asked for all of the mens boutineers to be blue hydrangea with a green leaf. Why were all of the blue hydrangea bouts, super small and wilted! I couldnt even see the flower. So my mom had to call them to come back and make new ones. Thats when i found out that they were all made the night before, thats why they wilted. Why would you make them the night before?!! Also, my mom told her the bouquets were wrong, we didnt ask for orchids in all the bouquets just the MOH. The lady told my mom that we actually got a deal, because they didnt charge us for the extra orchids in the other bouquets. Thanks for the great deal!...theyre wrong! My mom asked her if she wanted to redo the bouquets as well, the lady said no, there wouldnt be enough time. They redid the bouts and they looked awesome. Why didnt they look that awesome in the beginning? The ceremony...Thrans didnt have the ceremony site set up until 5 minutes before i walked down the aisle! I was so embarrased. They were setting up while people were trying to take their seats! I once again, was a little annoyed, but i tried not to let anything ruin the day. I had asked Thrans to take the ceremony flowers to the reception spot immediately after the ceremony. They had even asked me if i wanted the ceremony flowers to stay there so that i can take some pictures by them, i said no, take the flowers to the reception ASAP so that it can be set up before the guests arrive. Why were the ceremony flowers still at the ceremony spot 45 minutes after the ceremony had finished? I had to have my sister call Thrans this time and ask them to come and pick up the flowers to take them to the reception. They were very rude to her on the phone and she told them this was the 2nd time that day that they had to call them about something. They told her that they were really busy today and were setting up for many weddings. They didnt care. Fortunately, the reception flowers were flawless. Thank you wedding gods! I gave Thrans such a low score mainly because of their horrible, i mean HORRIBLE, customer service. They are not a professional company. They didnt care about the making the bride and groom happy. They were obviously money hungry and took on too many weddings/parties that they could handle. I have never heard of a manager/supervisor not calling a client back if they had a complaint. I worked in retail for 6 years. If there was a complaint, we made up for it by making the customer happy again. I dont want to sound like im a complainer and im too hard to please. I gave a lot of good reviews to my other vendors. This was the ONLY vendor i had a real problem with. It wasnt that their flowers werent beautiful, they were. Even if they got a couple of things wrong, thats fine, nothing is perfect on a wedding day. But just the way they treat their customers is UANACCEPTABLE! I would of went with a different florist if i would of known i'd be treated with such disrespect.

They were 30 minutes late delivering the flowers to the ceremony. The bridal bouquet was no different from the bridesmaids, and the flowers were wilting already. Also, on top of being 30 mins late, they forgot to bring 2 of the floral arrangments we ordered

Absolutely beautiful flowers & arrangements. Super friendly & helpful staff. They are willing to help your ideas become a reality or help you realize your preferences in the first place. A bit expensive, but the expertise was there.

I loved all the bouquets and centerpieces. I went in having an idea of what I wanted but after talking to Katie realized I needed to change it based on the room etc. Ended up loving all her ideas. Very helpful and prompt on the wedding day. I never even saw them but everything was set up and ready to go when I arrived. I loved the arch we got married under which they provided and decorated for us. All in all a wonderful experience!

They have the best designers and are extremely helpful and friendly!! I was amazed at the quality and I would highly recommend!!

Thran's did an amazing job with my flowers. They were very professional, easy to work with, and helped me to create a vision. Although they seemed expensive, I was very pleased with the results. My bouquet was so amazing that I carried it with me on the flight to Hawaii, and it filled my suite with a gorgeous fragrance.
